The Minnesota House voted to approve gay marriage...and the Senate will vote early next week and expected to pass. Gov Dayton will sign.

Very glad of my state to see equality in all. I am a straight married male with 3 young kids and glad that they will grow up in a state where everyone is treated equally.

this is a smokescreen for "huge tax increase coming to your state." get out while you still can.

When Washington State passed this a while back I felt such a tremendous sense of pride in my state and very happy for the future generations.

They are calling it "Civil Marriage"

I'm not sure what the difference is.

Personally, I think it's a mistake. This state is very divided on Gay marriage. The vote to pass an amendment guaranteeing the protection of marriage between a man and a woman was barely defeated.

This is the DFL controlled Legislature taking advantage of their unique situation of dominance in the Legislature and a liberal Governor. I personally think this goes beyond politics, but that's exactly what they turned it into. The "we win, you lose" political game.

Pretty unfortunate if you ask me.

Good news, and if this passes, then there will just be 38 states to go!

Me, too!

And for us and a couple other states, it was actually approved by the VOTERS, which I think is especially significant (although I don't really care how it happens - as long as it does).

Good luck, Minnesota!

Twelve states (almost) and the District of Columbia and counting.

Who will be next?
