- Banned him from seeing his kids
- Lawyer had to pay 100% of pre-Tax income to Wife. Man had to pay for his taxes, food and housing and went broke.
- Loses license to practice Law once he was unable to pay his Child Support.
- Lawyer now in jail in Colorado.

Video: Why Some People Don't Get Married: Lawyer Loses Everything By Ex-Wife! (Sends Him To Jail For Not Paying 100 Percent+ Of His Income, More Child Support & More Alimony)

Since the video is done to present the point of view of the man, let me get everyone up to speed as to what this is really about.

Basically:

During the marriage he made more money than we could even fathom (certainly more than any of us)
During the marriage, his wife was the caretaker and caregiver of the children
He and his wife divorced.
The court awarded the kids to the wife (as is natural, since she was the caretaker and caregiver always)
The court awarded a reasonable amount of child support to the kids, given that he made a huge amount of $.
He refused to pay.
The child support accumulated.
He still refused to pay.
It continued to accumulate.
He still refused to pay.
Now it's HUGE and larger than his salary, of course, and he's whining.
There's also an issue of a retirement, which he wants to keep.
The court ordered him to give a certain amount of funds to the wife.
He refused again and again.

None of that has kept this man from filing appeals against the courts. He's been a BUSY BOY! (You'll see that below).

Anywho, every "Man's rights group" is cheering him on (of course, to be expected).

Anyway, here's a segment of one of Mr. Bruce's appeals that he has so much time for while he's hoarding the money that belongs to his kids:

--------------------------------

The parties’ marriage ended in 2010 and husband was ordered
to pay wife $5000 per month in child support and maintenance of
$12,000 per month for four years, followed by $8000 per month for
two years. Thereafter, husband, who was a tax attorney and
partner at a large law firm, did not comply with his obligations,
resulting in the accumulation of $101,486 in support arrearages
and the suspension of his law license. Wife then moved for a QDRO
to collect the arrearages from the funds held in husband’s ERISA
retirement plan at the law firm.

Husband objected, contending that Colorado and federal law
prohibited assigning his retirement funds to wife to pay the
arrearages. The trial court disagreed and ordered him to transfer
the funds to wife using a QDRO. After husband did not comply, the
court ordered that the QDRO transfer be completed without his
signature, that he reimburse wife for her attorney fees incurred
because of his noncompliance, and that the suspension of his
previous contempt sentence for violating other court orders be
lifted. This appeal followed.

Couple of nights in jail will wake his ass up.
He was ordered to pay $12,000/mo in alimony and $5000/mo in child support.

Crazy.

No, but that doesn't fly in the face of my original question.....

On what planet does ANYONE deserve $12,000 a MONTH in alimony on top of $5000/mo in child support?

Crazy.
Alimony and child support are based on income. Do you know what his income was?

Excuse me if I don't shed a tear because a lawyer is in jail. Theyre a big reason the country is a mess and they probably made the CO laws so unworkable in the first place. Now only if we could figure out way to get the rest of them to share a cell with him.

She was getting $12,000 a month for alimony...the children were more than taken care of.

This was about lifestyle and being vindictive...nothing more, nothing less.

Oh yeah? What about if the man was making a fortune? Not even then, eh?

You know what I love most about you "men's rights" groups? The fact that you lie so perfectly. You present things and omit essential information.
