The only reason I can come up with for the complete lack of any response by liberals in defense of this latest allegation, is that the collective servers at thinkprogress, talkingpointsmemo, moveon, and mediamatters must have crashed in response to the overwhelming volume of traffic seeking guidance on how to respond.

Fair dues, it is not often that a progressive investigative journalism organization like ProPublica will come out and admit something of the gravity of what was revealed today. Commendable to practice what one preaches in this day and age. They have my respect for their integrity.

I say give it a few hours and the the narrative will be complete, through the minimum 12 revisions required, and we will begin to see eerily similar responses popping up from the liberal crowd.

Please go back and read my post #637 again.

I'm afraid you misinterpreted it entirely.

It's totally legal, the questioning is standard for tax exempt status 501c4. The Pee Party is a rogue operation and has to be policed by government just like everyone else why is everyone's panties in a bunch for?

Why are the Liebral groups not coming foward then?
If they were targeted in this manner I think they would have said something by now to discredit their opposition.

There is only on problem now- the IRS apologized.

So they know they did something wrong. If not illegal definitely unethical.

It is time we unite and rid our Government of corruption. Illegal or unethical- it is Wrong.

When I was a teen I got caught looking at my Dad's Playboy Magazines. I really didn't think I did anything wrong but the political thing to do was say I was sorry.
