It was a huge secret CIA Operation after all. Probably a weapons deal.

Up to 35 were in the compound with 7 additional wounded.

Exclusive: Dozens of CIA operatives on the ground during Benghazi attack – The Lead with Jake Tapper - CNN.com Blogs

Quote:
Sources now tell CNN dozens of people working for the CIA were on the ground that night, and that the agency is going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing, remains a secret.

CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency's Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out.
Quote:
Speculation on Capitol Hill has included the possibility the U.S. agencies operating in Benghazi were secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels.

Default CNN- DOZENS of CIA agents on ground n Benghazi the night of attack

Boy, do I get tired of being right all the time.

I speculated on these boards months ago that, the reason no more info was forthcoming about Benghazi was because it was a top-secret CIA op gone awry. Now, here is CNN more or less confirming my theory:

CNN: Dozens Of CIA Operatives In Benghazi On Night Of Deadly Attack | TPM LiveWire

The point is... The GOP members of the Intel Commitees KNOW, and have known all along, that the "truth" about Benghazi CAN'T be revealed, because it was a national security op.

But that didn't stop the opportunistic bastards from trying to make POLITICAL hay (aka Operation Get Hillary) out of a blown secret op and four dead Americans, has it?

Sorry but this has all been obvious since day one. It is why all the dumb stories and mis-information about the raid. Everybody was trying to get the CIA covered. Was not this obvious when two of the dead turned out to be heavy special forces types working for the CIA and operating weapons?

So they were setting up the smuggling of Libyan weapons to Syria. So what?

I'm with you Gurbie as I did too.
Dup thread BTW.

But someone ok'd an illegal operation because we were only allowed to send "humanitarian aid"..you know bandaids and peroxide and stuff.

And it would have had to come from pretty high up (not implicating the President here) but pretty high up in the administration to be running guns to Syria when we weren't allowed to.

Yeah... Except that Iran-Contra was an ILLEGAL operation by the Reagan Admin designed to circumvent Congressional funding restrictions, to keep us from getting involved in a civil war in SA.

The only two things these ops have in common ( so far) is they are both secret...

bs. We were not sending it. We were causing it to be sent. You believe that American foreign policy is always what the government tells the Washington Post? I have some news for you.
