This is outrageous in its entirety. If I were the families of the deceased and wounded, I would be protesting this travesty. This guy is actually a terrorist and our taxpayers money is compensating him.

Report: Fort Hood shooter has drawn $278G in salary since massacre | Fox News

The Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people and wounding 32 others during a shooting at Fort Hood has reportedly been paid more than $278,000 since the 2009 incident.

U.S. Department of Defense officials confirmed to NBCDFW.com that Maj. Nidal Hasan’s salary cannot be suspended unless he is proven guilty in the Nov. 5, 2009, shooting in Texas, citing the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Jury selection in his trial is scheduled to begin May 30.

Well he has to be proven guilty in a court of law.
Until then..he's innocent regardless of the circumstances.
That's how it works in society.

If he hasn't shaved yet then this could go on for a few more years.

"Workplace violence."

I can't think of a better reason to despise liberalism than having the President of the United States refuse to call a terrorist a terrorist, and his actions terrorism.

Not a better example under the sun of the sheer stupidity that pervades liberal ideology.

Are you saying that intent must be taken into consideration when deciding how to charge a suspect?

Sounds like an argument in favor of hate-crime laws.

Exactly.

Odd how we never heard a peep about this guy, who, BTW, also got paid while awaiting trial.

Soldier who killed fellow U.S. troops in Iraq gets life sentence

Personally, I see little difference between the two cases.
And, as was so stridently pointed out in the umbrellolio thread, rules is rules.

Explain yourself further. I see no connection to your logic.

Oh for gods sake, just stop. I think this is BS & I'm a liberal. I also think it's BS that cops still draw a paycheck in similar instances.

If you don't like the laws in the United States, you're welcome to relocate to NK or a country of other choices, like Iran, or a few others. PWG=???
