Since no one threw a fit over whatever Obama did on Memorial Day, I supposed this thread is fitting. Sheesh!
I'm surprised no one is angry that he didn't commemorate the Battle of the Little Bighorn!! Anyway, if he spoke of every significant battle the US has been involved in, then we'd be hearing nothing but speeches all day.
[and then people would complain about his endless speeches]
Your funny............................................. ..........................I am sure he does not spit...but I am also sure that culturally he is disconnected from what took place in WW2. It was a Christian white man's world back then. He does not relate to that history. If it were not for the white Christian men who fought to ward off the Nazis and the imperialists of Japan...America would not exist..Obama would running a small farm in Kenya.. while his grand mother brewed home made beer.

"white Christian men"? There was just one army in WWII that had racial requirements and went into battle with the words "God be with us" on their belt buckles. Hint: They weren't on our side. And of course, the people who took the biggest losses while fighting them were godless capital-C Communists.
He may not "relate" to your version of history, but that's because it has nothing to do with reality.
I don't know about you guys but it brings tears to my eyes when I see the rows of crosses and stars of David's. I think of the parents who, lost those wonderful young men so long ago. Yes, the greatest generation, but their parents deserve an honorable mention too.
My DAd was a Marine in the Pacific in WWII so he wasn't in Europe but I think he had plenty of D days on islands.
