Weeks ago in another thread, I suggested that there out to be a fine for women who carelessly let themselves get pregnant and then give birth to children that they can't support. That would really curb the rate of unplanned pregnancies. It's appalling that in the 21st century, all these typical welfare queens can't be bothered to use contraception. The government needs to acknowledge that these women represent a burden to taxpayers. The government shouldn't just sit back idly while allowing the typical welfare queen to give birth to her 12th child.

Money talks, if they are on welfare, after their first kid on the dole, offer them a free tubal ligation and $500 cash. Offer the baby daddies free vasectomies and $500 cash...I bet you'll get some takers
Not sure $500 is enough because it's not all about the welfare money for most.

Whatever the norm is for prenatal care and a live birth ( $3500 +/-??) paid in the form of big box discount gift cards, purchased by government at a 25% discount from face value.

China has a policy of fining up to $26,000 for out of wedlock births. They hold the extended family responsible.

True, but many in those situations grew up in generational poverty, and most are really only thinking about the here and now. Even if they up the amount to $3500, it's still way cheaper in the long run.

Tell me about it - such raw misogyny, one has to wonder if he is a product of the rules he's pushing for. Who's to say if he wasn't forced into an orphanage because of an impoverished single mother? I bet the children who go through the orphanage system would feel elated if they had a single mom who loved and cared for them regardless of her social or economical status.

Rewarding people who choose sterilization is viable, creates some dignity for the chooser, avoids forced abortions and significantly reduces spending over the long term.

Orphanages in the U.S. began phasing out after WW2.

So would this apply to married couples who have a child while on some type of government support?
