Did Chief Investigator Chris Serino testify yet? Last year I read several sources that reported he thought Zimmerman's statements were questionable and asked the State Attorney to charge him with manslaughter. I'm not going to look through 10 million posts (give or take a million) but I'm quite sure his testimony will be important.
It's homicide no matter how you slice it and I do see how it was instigated as GZ was irresponsible and negligent in how he utilized and abused his neighborhood watch status.

The video does not explain the location of TM's body and is at odds with GZ's statement to police (the night before the re-enactment) that he was sucker punched at the T and went down immediately . GZ in his reenactment only moves 1/2 way to where the body was found - in the second yard.
In the photo below north and the "T" are to the right and south is left. This is TM's body, photographed by a neighbor, before police turned him over to attempt CPR. It is where TM died and GZ pushed him off and got on top of him. It is not near the concrete. GZ's flashlight is near TM's head - he didn't drop it when sucker punched at the T but held on through the beating? TM's cell phone is not visible but is south (left) of the body. This indicates that there was some altercation to the south - further away from the T.
Interestingly the phone was photographed (by the police) closed not open -which will generate speculation to support both sides.
Zimmerman was in possession of the large flashlight during the altercation?
Question for those that have been on a jury. When the jury goes to deliberate, are they given definitions on the charges? For example, 2nd degree murder is _______. I assume so, just never heard how they get that info.
Its not against the law to follow someone. I, not being on a watch, can follow someone if I chose. It breaks no laws, no matter how you feel about it. Unless the State has evidence that Zimmerman was not getting beaten when he fired the shot, there is no murder case. At that point, he would be defending himself, which he has a right to. And I think its clear at this point, neither side can prove without a doubt who started the physical altercation.
Then when you are on self appointed neighborhood watch and see someone that you perceive as suspicious, by all means, get out of your vehicle and pursue them without identifying yourself if you are irresponsible and mornic enough to do so. Why do you believe that only Zimmerman had the right to defend himself, but TM did not? This is getting redundant.
I'll just say this. White male conservatives would be doing a 360 on this case if the roles were reversed and Martin was following Zimmerman and killed him, which is why you see the likes of radical white conservative organizations like Stormfront backing Zimmerman. By the way, that same radical white conservative group was angry that a black 4 year old was saved from drowning by a white male, and celebrated his recent death(was paralyzed while saving her). Secretly, they wish they could do the same thing which is why they refuse to blame Zimmerman for any of the events that night. They say that Zimmerman did us a favor, since this thug was going to kill somebody or end up in prison. That is the mindset of these racialist conservatives that are a large minority of your party.

When you do a 360, you end up in the same spot. I would feel the same about the evidence in the case no matter who was in what role.
Well you better hope that the State has some concrete evidence that they managed to keep secret because from everything we know, trial and otherwise, there is no concrete evidence to prove murder.
You're right, but if I were on a jury and a man who claimed self defense didn't testify, I'd wonder what he has to hide.
People often compare this with the Casey Anthony trial, but this is entirely different. We all know who shot Trayvon Martin. We all know when and where it happened. Although I think Casey Anthony is guilty, it's "possible" that there was an accident. Zimmerman never said "the gun just went off" so it was no accident. The prosecution says he shot Martin because he wanted to and the defense says it's because he had to, and the jury has to decide based on the evidence or lack of evidence which way to lean. Since "reasonable doubt" should favor the defense, it's possible Zimmerman will be acquitted. But if I were a juror, I would wonder why the defense is so afraid to allow the only person who really knows what happened to be questioned. OTOH, it doesn't mean I'd vote for a guilty verdict either. It's hard to say.
I dont believe you can hear that sound over the phone.
She mentioned the sound of grass on the phone unsolicited without ever knowing the details of the fight, given that no one has known the details, and it is just now coming out in bits and pieces in the trial. Her description is verified because Trayvon's phone set was found in the grass, not on his body.
Go and roll around the grass a bit, you can definitely hear the grass with your ears
I believe what she says because she clearly was avoiding even testifying, and is a reluctant witness. She wasn't rushing forward with her testimony to prove Zimmerman guilty. And she seems too unsophisticated to fabricate details that makes Zimmerman look more guilty.
