Arrests /= criminal record. Zimmerman was never convicted of anything, he has no criminal record.
I am a firm believer in trends. All people have them.
For example. I tend to always be early. For work, for appointments, for everything. Thats my trend.
I tend to be very fussy about my work. I like to do a good job. I am the same with my yard. Another trend.
GZ has a trend. Road rage, confrontations with cops, ex-girl friend. His trend is he lacks control of his anger. How many people have these kinds of things all together in their history? They are all linked to his temper.
He pursued a stranger, calling him a punk and an A-hole. Never met the man, talked to man and never saw the man demonstrate any behaviors to indicate he was as GZ described him. He pursued the man, would not let it go, would not heed advice or his training. This is a trend also. A trend of arrogance.
None are illegal, but combined make GZ a very unstable person. Another trend. He tends to lie a lot.
Arrests /= criminal record. Zimmerman was never convicted of anything, he has no criminal record.
Nevertheless, he does have a history of anger control problems. I would lay odds that 99 out of 100 people (and I am being very conservative) if in Zimmerman's shoes as neighborhood watch person, would not have wound up killing someone that they reported to 911 as suspicious that night. Because Zimerman is who he is, is why he is being tried for murder.
If he is acquitted, he should just leave the United States and never come back. If he continues to live in the United States, he is going to have to prove his tough guy credentials to people on a daily basis. A lot of people will be practically begging for the chance to kick his ass or shoot him.
He felt like a strong tough guy going up against an unarmed kid, but we will see how he handles people getting in his face everyday and following him and his family around. As many people have pointed out, that wouldn't be illegal and if he gets upset and says something about it than they would be justified if they just decided to shoot him.
Maybe his murderer will be able to get off on a bogus self defense claim too, the universe has a way of making these things work out sometimes.
I'm thinking the shooter won't even be investigated, drug tested or charged.
It's not looking like it... but I'd take the defense seat over Trayvon's new location any day.
