Well, aren't you the rebel telling everyone off.

So here's what will happen:

1) Your heirs will inherit polluted property that they can't grow so much as a healthy carrot on because grandpa was giving the finger to everyone. Yes that's a smart thing to do.

2) They'll sell your property for pennies on the dollar because all the neighbors (who know you think it's a real kick to bury junk) are going to be letting every prospective buyer know that you thought you were just sticking it to the commies who are taking over this country.

You're the guy who doesn't think things through. (Sorry Junior. You loo$e big because ol' Dad hated the tree huggers. Can't grow anything that isn't going to make you sick and can't get full value on the land when you sell.)

(Tell 'em to bury you out back. The acid from the batteries will advance the decomposition and they'll be able to loose money even faster.)

Actually I usually just toss my batteries over the fence into the neighbors yard.

Do you take a backhoe and dig up the backyard of a home your buying just in case there is a battery buried there or maybe a plastic bag or two? I'm sure the sellers would have no issue with this request. LOL

Over 100,000 animals in the wild are killed every year by plastic bags. But hey, as long as you're not inconvenienced because you're too damned lazy to bring your own bags to the store.

I'm going to be honest and say I don't like these new laws because they inconvenience me and force me to change my ways. I can also be honest and say that it better for everyone and it doesn't matter what I think. It's logical and makes sense.

It's not about "Green Police" or pc-anything, except to people who only think it us vs them or that their freedoms are being taken away because of a bag (and let's face it...those kinds of opinions don't matter). When we step back from our stupid and meaningless selves and look at the big picture and what makes things good/better for everyone you just have to do it. At least that's how intelligent folks see it.

Don't point to their failed results, and the disastrous negative consequences of their tyrannical political policies, because their intentions were pure. Remember all the ground water and lakes the left poisoned with their mandated MTBE? The left epitomizes why we have dread in our hearts when we hear this: "We're from the government, and we're here to help."
