Morsi thought that being the first majority meant he could adopt a theocratic constitution and shove it down everyone's throats without considering opposing positions. He should have known better.
A military coup is under-way, crushing the Muslim Brotherhood.
Now what? Civil war or democracy?
1) Nothing is being crushed. The Muslim brotherhood resisted many regimes and persecutions and will likely continue one way or another.
2) Civil war is a possibility, but martial law more likely.
3) What democracy? Do you think these countries understand the meaning?

Too many people think the world will be run like the US.
They have no clue.

Smart Muslims don't want a Muslim theocracy..because they understand that the faith is flawed...Egypt does not want to be another Saudi Arabia...If the brotherhood were to sustain power and stay in power...It would be a matter of time when one Muslim would be chopping off another Muslims head in the town square to set and example and warning to "stay in line" _ Egypt doe not want the brotherhood...There will be no civil war...In the hearts of Egyptians they just want to live a good and secure life...IF there is a civil war - It will be instigated by outside forces...Egyptians are highly aware of that...I suggest that everyone stay out of the way and maybe concentrate their arms sales on Syria and leave this place alone.
Morsi thought he could get away with a tainted constitution based on sharia law, this is a good thing and the muslim brotherhood got what they deserved. Just hope it doesn't end in violence.
Rebels in Syria, whom US is supporting, are also part of Muslim Brotherhood. Same way Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is seen as USA supported regimes. I dont think that people in USA like Islamic fundamentalist groups. Yet US government is supporting Syria rebels and here Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood.
Better to have a secular minded military in control till things settle than creeps attempting to slowly instill Sherea law. When a government under the guise of goodness...uses a religion as a front...Nothing good can come of it...God does not like religion...in my estimation. I would say that there will be military rule for quite a while...until they are ousted if they do not behave--- THEN there will be a civil war...if that happens.

Funny - you send the Brotherhood a few million bucks and they get tossed out...I guess America bribed the wrong people? No Muslim organization bent on power should ever be supported with American tax dollars. It would be nice if Saudi Arabia who financed the 9 11 slaughter sent a few billion to America as penance for their sin. The whole thing is a mess...To bad Obama was not a Christian...at least America would be focused and not all over the damned place when it comes to figuring out who is friend and who is foe.
