He wasn't "doing neighborhood watch". He was legally carrying while driving to the store when he noticed what appeared to be a suspicious person. He then did the right thing by calling the police.
Up until that point, yes, he did the right thing. What he did afterwards is what is in dispute here.
Remember, two of the jurors are involved in animal rescue. Maybe not so lame afterall.
And what exactly does THAT have to do with anything in this case? You guys are getting very desperate. So desperate that stupidity is just falling out of your ears.
Not much, because the facts remain that Zimmerman, an armed man 11 years Trayvon's senior, followed Trayvon, a boy who was doing nothing wrong, he followed him in his car and foot, on a dark and rainy night, in a menacing, threatening manner, had at least three opportunities to identify himself as neighborhood watch, provoked a fight, and then instead of defending himself with equal force, i.e. using his body to defend himself, he resorted to lethal force to fend off an unarmed boy.
I don't care who punched who first or that he was losing the fight, he brought on the incident with his actions, and an innocent teenager lost his life as a result. There is no way Trayvon would have tangled with Zimmerman or died that night without Zimmerman initiating this whole thing, and resorting to deadly force.
Why would you not care who punched who first? Asking someone what they are doing in a neighborhood and even following them is NOT illegal and does not give the other person a license to initiate a physical conflict and to attempt to murder the other person.

Also, no matter all these ifs, and could haves, there is no evidence that this beating was life-threatening or that Trayvon would ever have killed George. Trayvon was not a cold-blooded murderer.
Your head being pounded onto concrete is pretty damned serious. How was Zimmerman supposed to know that Trayvon would stop before he suffered a brain injury? How do you know that Trayvon would have stopped? What makes you think that Trayvon didn't want to kill this creepy-assed cracker?
I don't have much sympathy for Martin. He could have gone to the safety of his home and even called 911 himself. Instead he searched for Zimmerman, jumped him, and tried to murder him (even if all he intended was to beat the guy).
Why are you defending a violent thug? Do you believe that self defense is ever justified?0
Bernie doesn't even know the law. You don't have to be ready to die in order to use self defense.
