this is a sham now going for Child abuse are they kidding me now? Talking about grasping at straws. I would feel insulted if I was on the jury and make it known as such when in deliberation with my fellow citizens. I agree if they can't get the Murder 2 they will try to get whatever they can get. This isn't selling a home, you can't drop the price till you get a buyer .
You can very well say Trayvon Martin started it ... whether it began when he was acting "like he was on drugs" and acting suspiciously which caused GZ to call the police or when he attacked GZ and started to bash his head into the sidewalk. Take your pick.
Oh, no "you" can't. Trayvon was walking home from the 7-11, talking on the phone. GZ's subjective assessment that "he looks like he's on drugs or something" is pure speculation on GZ's part and a common expression. Is talking on the phone "acting suspiciously"? Do we all have to worry that we don't look like we're on drugs when we walk around in public now? Balderdash!
Felony Murder?! Felony murder requires that the predicate felony be separate and distinguishable from the actual killing. This prosecutor is a bumbling moron. The law is just being completely ignored in this trial.
It's inescapable. If you are poor or black, or especially poor and black, you are most likely going to fare worse in the legal system than if you are wealthy or white, or white and wealthy. Just look at our prisons.
Better yet, look at the people committing the crimes. Oh wait, they' should be because we've not "walked in their skin".
Now you've got the former police chief stating he was fired because he refused the city manager's demand to arrest G.Z..
Nope, no race involved here.

Funny thing - GZ was right about the drugs.
