Let's assume you are correct. We don't know how long Trayvon continued to beat Zimmerman. Your argument would hold more weight if we knew for sure how long the fight (and supposed life threatening beating) lasted.
We know from the screams that were recorded that the beating went on for at least one minute.
I'm amazed......people want to paint Zimmerman as a racist, yet Zimmerman never used a racial term. Trayvon DID use a racial term, calling Zimmerman a "creepy cr*cker ass". What if Zimmerman had called Trayvon a "creepy n*gger ass"? Looks like the racist was Trayvon, and he acted it out by beating up George Zimmerman and giving GZ a bloody head and nose. Trayvon was a thug and due to living thug culture, this is how it ended. The black community needs to come together and figure out how to clean up and get rid of the thug culture attitude.
If that happened too many people would be out of a job. All the race baiters, many attorneys and even some politicians would have nothing to talk about anymore.
Just because Trayvon took a picture of a gun, doesnt mean he bought it.
Does anyone else find it funny that advocates of the stand-your-ground laws who supported Zimmerman in this case want to paint Martin as a thug for having a picture of a gun, if in fact he did? How many of their own teenagers have guns, have shot guns and who aspire to own their own guns? They encourage their own sons and daughters to love guns but let a black kid do the same....and they are labeled a thug.
I accept and respect the jury's decision but I will never accept the opinion of gun advocates who think this case never should have gone to court. Whenever a person is killed with no witnesses and self defense is claimed the public has a right to try to piece together what really happened. We shouldn't have to accept the person who did the shooting's word for what went down without a formal trial to try to determine if he's telling the truth, or not.
Can't use self defense if you are committing a crime.
Well you would think that wouldn't you ?
But the tables seem to be turning.
An armed intruder is now claiming "Stand Your Ground". He broke into the home and shot the homeowner and claimed the homeowner was going to shoot him so he defended himself.
How much money was spent to prosecute an innocent man?
Just curious how that breaks down.
Thanks.
