2012 one of the warmest years on record.

Quote:

Worldwide, 2012 was among the 10 warmest years on record according to the
2012 State of the Climate report released online today by the American
Meteorological Society (AMS). The peer-reviewed report, with scientists from NOAA’s National Climatic
Data Center
in Asheville, N.C., serving as lead editors, was
compiled by 384 scientists from 52 countries (highlights, full report). It provides a detailed update on global
climate indicators, notable weather events, and other data collected by
environmental monitoring stations and instruments on land, sea, ice, and sky

Conditions in the Arctic were a major story of 2012, with the region
experiencing unprecedented change and breaking several records. Sea ice shrank
to its smallest “summer minimum” extent since satellite records began 34 years
ago. In addition, more than 97 percent of the Greenland ice sheet showed some
form of melt during the summer, four times greater than the 1981–2010 average
melt extent.
NOAA: 2012 was one of the 10 warmest years on record globally

Yes, the climate is changing. I don't need some scientist to tell me that. Instead of arguing about the cause, I think these "scientists" on both sides need to come up with a way to continue growing food and feeding people in spite of the change.
There are some scientists in the AGW movement who have written that it's already too late to fix the problem. They think that the focus should now be on adapting to a changing world. Very few scientists are in that consensus, but it's worth considering.

You certainly are proof of that, as you proved with your thread:

Absolutely. If the climate is changing, then other ways to grow our food and get our water needs to be explored, tested, and implemented. This debate on whether man is responsible for it, and if so, how much, is ridiculous.

We need to do both, changing our lifestyle and adapting. Too much of our population lives within a few miles of the coastline, that needs to change. The most severe problems will occur in poorer nations that rely on glaciers for drinking water and don't have the resources to recover from a rising ocean and loss of food. There are many good reasons to reduce our consumption of fossil fuels aside from global warming.

The moderators need to make a dumping ground for all these crazed blog sources. Maybe a sticky named "Tales from my Ass" or something...

And this goes for all blogs.

Absolutely, because fossil fuel is a finite source of energy.

So you say its okay to lie, deceive, manipulate, and steal as long as it fits your agenda... Congratulations welcome to Global Warming RELIGION... NOT SCIENCE... The atmosphere is vast... and things don't stay in the atmosphere forever... have you tried to carbon date how old the atmosphere is? You can't because they don't stay very long and the amount that is there is so small you couldn't collect enough of it...

Arctic Sea Ice Downfall - YouTube

I had to laugh at some of these lines:

“Everyone who isn’t a blog scientist please leave the room”
"Even the guest posters are producing unbelievable sh-it" ... "It's not true, your post of climate elves was excellent"
