This man died in 1914, at the time per the article (late 1800's, early 1900's) he wanted a community where blacks could be involved in their own government, etc, which was impossible at that time in mainstream society. I don't see any similarity with the thread topic. This man didn't advocate hate for white people or anyone else, while the guy in the topic link wants to put up a memorial to the Nazis in his town square.
