By "tyrannical government" are you referring to our government? If yes than no, that's not why we have the 2nd amendment. If we did then treason would be a constitutional right. It is not.

Now if by "tyrannical government" you mean the United States being invaded by one of the other countries that had a presence here, including the then super powers of France and Great Britain, well then in that case you may be right

1. We have checks and balances.

2. Because overthrowning the government is actually illegal and is spelled out in the constitution.

In this country if you dont like the government, you vote in an election, you dont take up arms.

Article 1, section 8

This government can and has in the past became usurpatist.

Act a Mormon why were exterminated in Missouri.

Or the Native America and how well they were treated..

God read history.

This idea that if the Government became tyrannical you dont have the right to fight back is a joke..

Over a decade of war and billions of dollars later and the U.S. hasn't been able to win wars against people in third world countries.... and you people think they could take on the most well armed populace on Earth? People that at least half the military would refuse to fire upon?

Laughable.

An engineer in this country has access to all the information and resources necessary to make his own weaponized drones...

History is FULL of Goliath's falling to David's....
