There is absolutely nothing in my original comment that is factually incorrect. You are attributing to my comment your own form of comprehension, which is factually incorrect. You might attempt to show exactly what is incorrect in my original comment. You seem to be attributing words to me and my comment that I never used, is this something that you make up as you go so you look more intelligible?

I don't think you guys even know what "social and behavioral data" is from a health care standpoint. It's long been collected, at least the last 45 years that I have been involved in health care.

Social: "Lives with spouse and 4 kids"

Behavioral: "Smokes 1 pack/day"; Drinks 4-5X/wk

And the like. This is considered part of a good medical history.

It's well known, among health care providers, that some patients do lie, esp. about how much they smoke and drink.

I'm not. I'm criticizing pointless reactionary blathering.

Asserting that what the government is doing in this context is "tightening the noose around our necks" is a naive perspective.

Don't confuse criticism of rabid anti-government nonsense as defense of Big Brother. Take the criticism for what it is or ignore it. Take your pick.

"‘Are you sexually active? If so, with one partner, multiple partners or same-sex partners?” Be ready to answer those questions and more the next time you go to the doctor, whether it’s the dermatologist or the cardiologist and no matter if the questions are unrelated to why you’re seeking medical help. And you can thank the Obama health law. The social-history questions also include whether you’ve ever used drugs, including IV drugs. As the NYCLU cautioned, revealing a patient’s past drug problem, even if it was a decade ago, risks stigma."

I'll wait and see if my eye doctor starts asking questions about my sex life.
I have no intention of answering these invasive questions for an eye exam.

FL passed a law that says they cannot ask about gun ownership.
Several doctors have sued saying this law "severely restricts" their ability to practice preventative medicine.

They didn't ask before and it was OK. But now that they are not allowed to ask it's not OK ?
