The Dems have been trying to get the House to go to conference on Budget since April, rejected 18 times by House "leadership". Oh those darn fact thingies again, huh? Yep, Repubs fault to be sure.
Provide a link...you expect us to believe you....now that is laughable....
The GOP is doing the right thing. Barack Hussein is holding the country hostage over ONE LAW that the people do not want. The GOP will take the Senate easily in 2014 and make Barack a lame duck who won't be able to get a golf tee time.
I think you have that backwards, the senate passed a bill on Friday with funding for Obama care, the house options were 2 bills, one that delayed Obama Care for a year and another that defunded. The right wing extremists in the republican party tried to defund the AFCA around 20 times, they lost in the courts,
now they are losing in the court of public opinion.
Only someone that lives in alternate universe would think that this helps their cause in 2014.
Next time try asking for something that has at least 1% chance of passing, because when you ask for things with 0% chance, you're just embarassing yourselves. Making unacceptable demands is not a negociation.
When the shut down is over, and its calculated to have saved billions upon billions of dollars, I'm sure Obama, and the left wing kook Democrats will be jumping up and down proclaiming they saved us tons of money though..
I find it shocking that the Republicans care more about what their constituents want and about fairness under the law for all and not just the "special" Presidential Delay and Waiver folks ..... than they do about "winning elections".
Republicans taking the high road? Don't make me laugh. This is their last hurrah.
The partial-shutdown is not that big of deal...just wait a few weeks when they have to deal with the debt ceiling limits.
