And I'd bet that the "young mother, pregnant with her second child" will be applying for assistance so we the taxpayers can feed that child because everyone knows that struggling nursing students cannot be expected to be responsible for caring for the results of their recreational activites.
There is so much ASSumption in your post. And what it has to do with the story I have no idea. Proof racists are not capable of rational thought.
We always use our tax return to pay off debts, like to pay off cars or cc we used for house related expenses. Most people I know blow theirs. I have friends who go to Disneyland every year, regardless of how much debt they have stacked up.
National Action Network, a civil rights group led by Reverend Al Sharpton, said it was mobilizing activists to take direct action against the store and the NYPD.
"National Action Network will immediately demand a meeting with the Barneys New York CEO," NAN spokeswoman Rachel Noerdlinger said in a statement.
The group is "planning to picket the store if the pattern of racial profiling is not immediately rectified after numerous incidents of discrimination have come to light," Noerdlinger said.
So black people spending the money they earned is probable cause of what exactly?
First off we don't know exactly what led her to be stopped. Do you think she is the first black person to be stopped. I'm curious do people think Black folks aren't allowed to be stopped for any reason?
Police, store clerks are trained to observe things. They will not be right 100% of the time. Also it is very likely several of the officers and employees are also Black.
If she is receiving financial aid for school and is unmarried and 21 and having her 2nd child and is on any sort of public assistance or got earned income credit this just feeds into the welfare queen stereotype. I'd say no more assistance. I'm all for letting people sink if they continue to waste the resources they are given.
So you condemn her for getting an education and trying to better herself? Isn't that what you cons are always ranting about? Can't have it both ways, you know. Oh, wait ... you think you can.
Actually it is very reasonable to infer that she is on assistance simply by the story I linked.
1. That is your opinion. And opinions are like a holes. Most stink. I didn't give public assistance second thought until one of the racists brought it up.
2. If she is on public assistance it doesn't make what the store or the pd did right. Public assistance has zero to do with what happened at Barneys. If you don't understand that, there is no need for us to discuss this further.

I believe in the 4th Amendment and probably cause.

Black can and should be stopped when there is probable cause. Just being black does not give the pd probable cause. Sounds like the only red flag may have been the cc with no name. Why not just deny her the purchase. Between these two cases, it sounds like there are a bunch of racist, punk azz employees who can't/won't do their job.
