Only a moron would support treason. It speaks volumes about your character. Maybe the NSA needs to monitor your activities.

Yes, he's achieved his goal of harming the USA. No doubt about it. And what he's doing will probably weakened our national security.

I have absolutely no doubt that my activities are being monitored, but nothing he did amounts to treasonLEGAL definition of treason:Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.I'd say it takes a moron of a completely new level to accusing people of crimes they didnt commit.

The duplicity of many higher-ups in government is that they claim to want whistleblowing but they don't sincerely want truth-telling.

Edward Snowden is a whistleblower and he should be allowed to return to the United States with a hero's welcome. In fact, when the NSA is defunded he should get a percentage of the money that he saves the American taxpayer just like securities and exchange whistleblowers get.

Throwing around the word "treason"does not deter me from speaking of the facts that have resulted from the actions of Snowden. Sorry to inform you of that.

Snowden may have achieved his goals, but I don't think what he did was responsible, nor do I believe he was in any position to understand all of the consequences. He didn't act on principle. He acted on hubris. No small-time contractor has the right or authority to upend international relations. If he had good intentions, there are other avenues he could have followed that would have been less destructive.

My biggest concern is for our working relationships with other countries on the terrorism front. Exposing our quieter allies outside of Europe will alienate them from us and may make them targets for having helped us. People may very well die because this guy wanted to be famous. He could have raised awareness both within and outside of our government without being so specific.

The public doesn't know what to do with all of this information anyway. Most of the people I've talked to about the issues he's exposed have lots of gut reactions but no real understanding. Just what we need in this world...more emotion-fueled ignorance.

If that was his goal...hooray E. Snowden. Mission accomplished. We are such a better world world for your recklessness.

I don't think history bears that up. Some served in the military, some in governments, some other things... Few, if any, were specifically hunted down by the British, solely for their signatures.

How do you propose that he should have "raised awareness" without being so specific? What on Earth do you think he could have said or done that wouldn't get completely ignored outside of releasing the very specifics that he released?

Regardless of Snowden's true motives, he has done us all a favor. He will be remembered as a hero who stuck it to "the man" and that is something good.
