It's only one culture group of immigrants that is causing trouble. That's interesting, isn't it?
can be rectified with improvements in there economic status. just like everywhere, the poor tend to be less educated and more prone to crime because of circumstance.

No, it has nothing to do with economic status. You rarely see crimes commited by immigrants with non-muslim background in Europe. Immigrants to Europe are most of the same economic status. You see crime highly concentrated by immigrants with a certain culture. Why is that?

Nothing with do with economic status. Immigrants in Europe have for the most part the same economic status when they arrive. Yet, there is one culture of immigrants which doesn't elevate itself out of poverty. The rest does. Quite interesting.

"The Fourth Turning".

They took history and generations and compared events and came up with a theory based on history and generations.

The last big crisis we had was the Great Depression.
The last generation born into that were the Silent Generation and they are almost all died out.
And that means we're due for the next one because generations after the Silent Generation have never experienced a true crisis.

And the historical events do fall into their theory.

Sounds very interesting. I have had a pet theory that demographics is much more important than realized, and it sounds like this book dovetails with that. I had three uncles who grew up during the depression, and went off to fight WWII. They went off as happy-go-lucky farm kids, and came back as serious-minded and ready to be productive. They were all successful; one became a multi-millionaire farmer; another helped found a chain of clothing shops. I question the common claim that WWII got us out of the depression. I think a lot of it was demographics.

You can see the same thing with the baby boom generation. In 1970, baby boomers ranged in age from 6 to 24. During the 70's, the economy languished. In 1980's baby boomers were turning 30 and entering their productive years. 1980-2007 were largely one long economic boom. Unfortunately it was also an era of ignoring and putting off long term problems such as the debt. Which means that now, as baby boomers start retiring, the nation faces a double whammy of unresolved problems and demographic crunch.

Swedish skinheads are neo-Nazis and certainly racist. Just so that you know. The Swedish Resistance Movement is a militant neo-Nazi movement and a part of the European white Aryan brotherhood. They are criminals, so I'd be careful announcing you are their sympathizer.

Well said. Extremely speculative to insist that a prosperous nation that purposely maintains a low birthrate will be extinct in 100 years. Maybe if births were so low because of famine and war it would make more sense and be like some historical examples of 'lost civilizations'.

Hovering around the replacement rate, with some periods of time below it, some above it, along with some moderate population flow in and out of the nation (which is of a variety compatible with the country's identity and/or ethic) sounds more like a successful model of an advanced hi-tech society. Now, if you're aspiring for a place that rewards slack offs or an Idiocracy...

Well I guess the lesson here is Europe is not America.

You can't turn any country that doesn't have a foundation on being a land of immigrants like all of North and South America into one.

You don't have to copy/paste to know who and what they are. They ARE a neo-Nazi group. It's a fact, but feel free to sympathize them. I thought you were a sympathizer out of ignorance, but it turns out you actually do support neo-Nazis.

Svenska Motståndsrörelsen (SMR)

Svenska Motståndsrörelsen, which was founded in 1997, aims to establish a totalitarian regime through revolution. The organisation is hierarchical, with a military approach, and members have occassionally been subjected to disciplinary actions when they have committed crimes or conducted themselves in a manner that does not conform to the ideology of SMR.
