Politicians who satisfy their constituents get more votes and are the winners.
From the LA Times about why Romney lost, according to Romney:
Ironic. These Romney donors gave him gifts of $900 million to pass policies that help them.
Romney was shocked that young voters preferred Obama who cut banks out as student loan middlemen and expanded Pell Grants, over Romney wanted to eliminate federal education funding and slash the Department of Education. As an alternative, Romney suggested that if you want to go to college, borrow money from your parents (clueless to anything but the insulated world he lives in where parents have that kind of money.)
The idea that voters shouldn't vote in their best interests but instead vote in the interests of the plutocrats, is absurd.
Mitt, only proved just how displaced that he actually is when it comes to the American people. He also showed a tendency no to be truthful in the errors involving his lost.
Yes, if history repeats itself, GOP should have a very good mid term election, but according to the predictions it won't be that good, and it is due to their fumbles while being the majority in the House.
16 Democratic Senators will be up for re-election a year from now, and the one thing which they all have in common is that ALL of them will have to defend voting for ObamaCare.
And with more people being covered with good insurance policies, more people will realize that they are better off than before, so yes, the Democrats do OWN the ACA and it will show when they win more seats in Congress.
The CBO is saying now that 10 years from now under the ACA there will still be 31 million uninsured.
I think you will be wrong about this one. I think by November 2014, people will have already begun settling into ACA and have realized it isn't as doom and gloom as the Republicans tried to make it out to be and the Republicans will be scrambling to try to work up any other "controversy" that they can find.
How are you gong to explain away employers dropping insurance for their employees?
On the contrary, voters saw what a fraud the 2010 wins were and got buyer's remorse. Remember when in 2010 they said they would focus on jobs like a laser?
Obama has been saying that he was going to start on that many times.......we're waiting.
None. As a matter of fact I think they will win seats. There is a whole year for people to forget about the website bugs.
They'll be concentrating on the high deductibles and sinful premium increases.
