HHS Plans to Spend Up to $7B to Find Ways to Reduce Costs Under Obamacare | The Weekly Standard

That's just some cronies stealing more Obamabucks.

Do you really think it cost $600B to NOT build a website?

The stories get even better as time goes on.

HHS "loaned" over $2 billion to non profit insurance startups.
24 of them got "loans" to cover startup costs and have reserves to meet state insurance requirements.
11 of them spent more in startup costs than HHS loaned them and now have no reserves and can't move forward.
1 got denied by the state and HHS dropped them.

HHS was told in May 2012 that this loan program wasn't feasible.
HHS didn't respond and went forward anyway.

Now Congress is asking HHS to account for the loans, repayment schedule, and how they plan to recoup taxpayer money from the failed startup.

And as usual HHS has no answers.

So, did Cathleen Sebelius just add $7 billion to the HHS budget? I know this is the era of Obama, where the "billion" is the new "million," so from her viewpoint it's only $7 million, but that plan just absorbed the entire Obama tax increase on the rich.

These Obama clowns have proven they are clueless and incompetent. All they every see is what they want to see, and what they want to see is that big government solutions and more bureaucratic control is the answer to everything. So anywhere that their research finds cost reductions means less government and more private sector, they will reject it.

Someone had to OK all that "extra money" that Sebelius is spending.
She can't just go and spend money she doesn't have on her own.

And she doesn't answer any direct questions from Congress.
She dances around and gives fuzzy talking point answers.

Lois Lerner must be coaching her from home is all I can figure.

I'll bet this kind of graft money funded the superbots who were posting non stop Obamacare propaganda until recently.

Their money is now cut off.

Hope they starve.

Harry Reid was saying that the American people think the Congress and Senate are broken and he agrees. Yeah, dingus, they are broken. The PEOPLE IN THEM are what's broken, not the system itself. That means we need to fix the problem by cleaning house and ridding ourselves of them. The Justice Department and HSA are broken, too. The White House is more broken than anything.
We need mass resignations or better yet mass recalls and impeachments.

Default More news: sticker shock is going mainstream

CNN has a new article about the same thing many have been posting about, the high deductibles and coinsurance and out-of-pocket expenses of Obamapolicies.

This will build and build, especially after January 1 when real people start getting real large bills for actual medical care....they believed would be "affordable."

Are Obamacare plans affordable? - Nov. 21, 2013

Hey, Good news! All those "cancellations" were really "renewals."

Sheila Jackson Lee: Insurance cancellation notices are lies - National Policy & Issues | Examiner.com

Sheila Jackson Lee: Insurance cancellation notices are lies
Quote:
“The cancellation notice was not the truth,” she said. “It should have been: ’We intend to or expect to modify your insurance.’”

Cancellations, she explained, is what happens “when you don’t pay your premium, or something has happened in the bad old days.” But, she added, that's not what's happening with the notices that have been sent to millions of Americans.

“A cancellation notice was the inappropriate document to send without notice,” she added. “All they had to do is (say) that, ‘This is a notice to say that we’re going to improve your insurance, not, in essence, eliminate your insurance.’”

According to the NRO, Jackson Lee said she wrote an amendment before Obama's announcement forcing insurance companies to “tell the truth,” apparently unaware that insurance companies are some of the most heavily regulated in the country.

Instead of sending out cancellation notices as the law required, Jackson Lee said companies should have told consumers things are getting better.

One person called Jackson Lee a "Cancellation Truther" in a tweet posted at Twitchy.

Christine Rousselle educated Jackson Lee in a post at Townhall:

Really, Rep. Lee? Really? How else could you possibly describe a letter from an insurance company that blatantly states that their plan will no longer be offered due to Obamacare? It is, in the literal sense of the word, a cancellation letter.

"And that's the truth," she added.
