So what you're saying is that, contrary to conservatives' predictions, they are being rigorous and only graduating the truly qualified.

There is no rate in the document, where do you get this 25 times difference?

I don't see how it is being politically correct. They are running the same course, and those that graduate do so.

It is also the first class of only 15 people, and 4 graduated (not 3) from the first document. In the second link it says there were 13....why the difference?

What is your beef exactly? That they hold the women to the EXACT SAME STANDARDS as the men? That only the ones who PASS can graduate? Does it irk you that this proves that women can get the job done just as men can? Does it make you nervous?

A fourth woman finished the course, but was injured and couldn’t pass the required combat fitness test. She will be allowed to graduate once she heals and passes that test

so the marines are holding EVERYONE to the same standards, and somehow that is being politically correct now? rubbish. the army is the branch that allowed a different standard for infantry based on sex, not the marines. remember that regardless of a marines primary M.O.S., EVERY marine has a secondary M.O.S. as a rifleman, and the marines take that seriously as they never know when they will need to pick up a rifle to defend their position. something the rest of the military should seriously consider.

I'm glad they are being held to the same standards as the men, but let's face it; women will never be as good as males in combat. I would've payed to see a squadron of females storm Pakistan and take down Bin Laden.

There's a lot more to war than firing a gun. Soldiers must be physically and mentally capable, something men supass women in by far.

Could thousands of women have stormed Normandy and crushed the thick wall of German men, artillery and gunfire? Don't think so.
