Article from Politico explains the history-making peaceful resolution of the Iranian nuclear crisis that is within our grasp, thanks to the talent and leadership of Barack H. Obama and John Kerry:
Could the contrast with the Israeli-spy GOP Neocons be a any clearer this morning?
Excuse me? Iran has enough to build a bomb. And to trust Iran not to enrich more? Did someone fall off the turnip truck?
Even France, the most passive of the EU said its a fools deal.
The Idiot-in-chief and the Ketchup king handed over to Iran everything they wanted on a silver platter. Iran was desperate. They were running out of money. And then here comes these Washington idiots and gives it all back. Obama pompously says the sanctions could be turned back on. Obama has been smoking crack again.
Iran sponsors international terrorism. They are building a bomb. The mad mullahs are salivating and cackling with glee over how they put one over the US. But judging who is in the WH, that's apparently not hard to do.
Obama is being setup to look like the fool once again. The world knows it, the Middle East can't believe he's that stupid and the Obama drones kept on moving on like we live in wonderland. Complete and utter incompetence and a laughing stock of the world stage.
Obama is just glad to have something else other than his failed Obamacare rollouts in the headlines....I know he was like "whew"......
When has Iran presented a threat to the United States?
Yes, we'll just ignore that little hostage thing.
Quote:
And how can they pose a threat to the far better armed state of Israel, a military belligerent second only to the United States?
Yes, shame on Israel for defending itself when the neighboring states invaded. What belligerence!

But dont tell conservatives that, these folks are scared of their own shadow. I dont think there has been a more fearful and reactionary political party in American history than todays conservative.
Yes, because it was a Republican who got us into WW1. No wait, it was a Democrat. Wilson.
But it was a Republican who got us into WW2. Oh my mistake, it was a Democrat. Roosevelt.
At least it was a Republican who got us into Korea. No, on second thought, that was a Democrat. Truman.
But Republicans were certainly responsible for Vietnam. Oh sorry, that was Democrats too. Kennedy and Johnson.
I have always found this Iran stuff ridiculous. We have nothing to fear and zero moral credibility on the topic. It is pretty rich that the only country in the world to have ever nuked another country's civilians is pontificating and moralizing when another country wants a nuke. A diplomatic solution is the best solution, though imperfect. But we are not going to bomb ANOTHER middle eastern country to get them to be nice. If they ever launch anything against Israel or the USA, it will be their funeral, and they would have to be complete morons not to know that. Iran has nothing to gain and everything to lose from going with nukes.
I can sleep just fine at night about all this. They are humans like anyone else, and having some diplomatic relationships with Iran seems just fine with me. They are no more rotten than the House of Saud, for instance.
Obama seems to be upping the stupid ante and is almost trying to be the most despised POTUS in history. Why is he being ordered to make so many asinine and unpopular decisions that can only serve to damage the country? Stupid may be the new normal in Washington but it doesn't sell in Main Street USA.
I've said before Obama is irrelevant but we have to start looking at the puppeteers pulling his strings.
There was going to be a "deal" with Iran eventually, simply because the US-led sanctions system is wearing out its welcome. It depends on cooperation from China and especially Russia, which shares the Caspian Sea with Iran. Both of those nations are getting a bit weary of carrying the west's water on the Iran "issue" - India was already peeved after being pushed to reduce its Iranian oil imports.
If your sanctions are going to end up failing anyway, it makes sense to at least try and get some concessions from the targeted nation before the sanctions erode to the point of uselessness. Not that I think we should be micromanaging Iran at all, mind you.
Various members of Congress seem to be pushing for increased sanctions on Iran. While the US could enact measures unilaterally, they are functionally meaningless unless foreign nations are also willing to abide by them. The trend over time is that they simply won't. Iran is not Cuba - it's 6,000 miles away rather than 90. If Russia decides at any moment that the Iran sanctions are not worth enforcing, then that's it. The sanctions system is finished. This is something a lot of American politicians don't seem to appreciate.
That may be true, but Obama essentially lifted the sanctions back in June before he even went to the table to negotiate anything. Why not negotiate from a position of strength when Iran is at their weakest? It just seems like an incompetent move to me.
