These people will crush the "industry" that is putting money in their pockets, small as the paychecks may be.

I feel sorry for the people who invested six or seven figures on franchises only to have this happen to them. Tough, but, frankly I think the whole of America can do with a lot less of the garbage the FF industry pedals.

Very liberal? Are you kidding? LOL! Bill Clinton was center left at best.

Exports have actually increased under Obama...

Imports from China have risen steadily since the 80s but it seems to be tapering off

So you would rather pay them welfare and have them sit home then? Maybe we should tax small business dollar for dollar for wages under $15 they pay. That way they could feel good about having low wage workers. And then use that tax to pay the subsidies that we are already paying for their business.

I'm sick of subsidizing small business people. Pay your workforce or pay the tax.

Limit the labor supply and wages will go up.

It's hilarious that the same side that wants to make cheap labor unlimited wants now to raise wages. It shows that liberals losing their intelligence. At least in the past, the liberals knew that unlimited illegal immigration was really for the purpose of bringing down wages. Now they think it's for bringing up wages.

Minimum wage now is higher than it was in the past, there was a time it was under $2 an hour, yet we now have more children being born into poverty than ever.

Inflation is kept down by not raising it, and besides with all the impoverished people coming over the border, if that problem isn't addressed, there will be no lessening of poverty rates.
No, inflation isn't kept down by not raising minimum wage. Minimum wage doesn't affect the total number of dollars in the economy. Saying that raising it causes inflation is like saying "Increasing CEO pay causes inflation". What it does is increase the share of revenue that goes to paying the poorest workers... Which we need more than ever because their share is at the lowest point in modern history.

Minimum wage is not at its highest point. It was $10.51 in 1968 in today's dollars.

Bill Clinton is very liberal. Sorry -- but you liberals worship the Clintons almost as if they are some kind of gods. Hillary went along with Bill on those trips to China. Obama also expanded so called "free trade". He's also extremely liberal.

Do not, I repeat do not try to blame these globalists on Conservatives.

That would be a straw man... Liberals do not want to make cheap labor unlimited. Conservatives are the ones that want that, which is why they believe in maintaining an underclass of illegal immigrants.

Minimum wage was never over $10.

All you're talking about is inflation. There wasn't globalism back in the 60s. Nor was there unlimited immigration.

Minimum wage in 1968 adjusted to 2012 dollars was $10.51

Yes I am talking about inflation. That's the point. 25 cents an hour in 1938 is not equivalent to 25 cents today. You have to adjust for inflation otherwise you're comparing NOTHING.

Liberals want to add 11 to 30 million illegals to the legal labor force. That means illegals would than be able to grab any job they like, and will no longer be picking lettuce for $4 an hour. More illegals would have to be brought in to do the jobs that legalized illegals will no longer want to do.

You need to stop thinking that Obama and the other cheap labor globalists really want massive illegal immigration because they just happen to prefer these people over Americans. It's all about the cheap labor. Nothing more.
