With the well-spoken and clean idiot as CIC, the Chinese can do as they please and get away with it.

Just as the Iranians are doing as they please.

We need to come up with plans to begin purchasing our bonds back from them in order to secure our position at the world reserve currency, for them to lose leverage, and ultimately to stop their currency manipulation.
A good start.

Let me emphasize that no one, including me, wants that. But i'm pretty tired of the U.S.G taking a hands off approach to China as it works to undermine the United States in its every action. It's as if the US doesn't actually believe China will some day directly challenge us. IT ALREADY IS!
China by itself I ain't that worried about, even its nukes could be taken out. The problem is Russia; despite it being useless in "conventional warfare" still has lots of nukes and they could do some real damage to the US before we destroyed it.

Yeah, all those shtty little products at wal mart are made in china....do you think that means china owns the us? Try the other way around. We stop trade with china, we have to pay a few bucks more for tshirts and iPhones. Will be painful, but possible. The us consumer stops buying from china? Their country loses their largest source of revenue and outputs. Think china will feed a billion people with an economy supported by purchase power of its own people?

A traditional war with china is unfeasible. They have no desire to invade the US or take over the world. US should pull back from foreign affairs....we are wearing thin on our strongest allies, and making enemies we have no business being enemies with. Syria east wants to drop a nuke on Syria east? Sure, why stop there?

Harrier ate Chinese food tonight.

Perhaps he should throw the rest in the trash.

Naw, Harrier was always taught that "there are starving children in China".

Heck, there are starving children here in the U.S.A., yet Democrats want to create more by raising the minimum wage, and thus killing jobs.

This is very serious and should have been the major news story of the day and week. While operating in recognized International waters, the Chinese Navy attempted to stop a US Navy war ship, even going so far as to try to block it's path causing the ship to quickly evade the ship instead of stopping or colliding with the Chinese ship blocking it's path.

we should re-open Subic bay.

You never heard a lot about it, but this kind of thing happened with the former Soviet Union on occasion during the cold war.

If that happens our economy and the global economy would get a lot worse. With the current worldwide debt crisis there aren't many countries that would buy our debt so the government would either need to rely on the feds and or the people to start buying treasuries. Attacking or provoking China would be economic suicide.
