Maybe an act of war against China is necessary? China is in severe need of a correction....or else they will continue to feel like they can harrass us without retribution. Why should we allow that?
With the well-spoken and clean idiot as CIC, the Chinese can do as they please and get away with it.
The beginnings of Cold War Pt II? I would say so. I don't want with China, but we do need to take up a different role than we are today, we need to let them grow their spheres of influence in their region, but not dominate its respective region. We need to come up with plans to begin purchasing our bonds back from them in order to secure our position at the world reserve currency, for them to lose leverage, and ultimately to stop their currency manipulation.
Militarily, we could defeat China, but it wouldn't be pretty, and it would likely involve the totality of our arsenal.
Let me emphasize that no one, including me, wants that. But i'm pretty tired of the U.S.G taking a hands off approach to China as it works to undermine the United States in its every action. It's as if the US doesn't actually believe China will some day directly challenge us. IT ALREADY IS!
China by itself I ain't that worried about, even its nukes could be taken out. The problem is Russia; despite it being useless in "conventional warfare" still has lots of nukes and they could do some real damage to the US before we destroyed it.
Yeah, all those shtty little products at wal mart are made in china....do you think that means china owns the us? Try the other way around. We stop trade with china, we have to pay a few bucks more for tshirts and iPhones. Will be painful, but possible. The us consumer stops buying from china? Their country loses their largest source of revenue and outputs. Think china will feed a billion people with an economy supported by purchase power of its own people?
A traditional war with china is unfeasible. They have no desire to invade the US or take over the world. US should pull back from foreign affairs....we are wearing thin on our strongest allies, and making enemies we have no business being enemies with. Syria east wants to drop a nuke on Syria east? Sure, why stop there?
This is very serious and should have been the major news story of the day and week. While operating in recognized International waters, the Chinese Navy attempted to stop a US Navy war ship, even going so far as to try to block it's path causing the ship to quickly evade the ship instead of stopping or colliding with the Chinese ship blocking it's path.
Because China holds a large portion of our debt and if we were to do something to destroy relations with them they could either call the debt or start selling it off. If that happens our economy and the global economy would get a lot worse. With the current worldwide debt crisis there aren't many countries that would buy our debt so the government would either need to rely on the feds and or the people to start buying treasuries. Attacking or provoking China would be economic suicide.
We should have sunk that bastard and not looked back.
We should stop buying "Made in China" and not look back.
[we are enriching them to our detriment]
