Let's make no mistake in forgetting that Bush thought the same thing concerning his "war on terror".
"Screw due process, I've decided you are a bad guy and I can ignore it".
No that isn't an exact quote but it is what he said. And we see what happens when one president isn't forcibly countered in those ideas. The next one expands upon them.
As much as the left doesn't think so there will be a guy in the White House they don't care for and unless this process is stopped its hard to tell what this next president will think he can do on his own.

Yep, Bush did it ALL by himself!
Really? The last I looked the DEM Senate Majority leader AND the Dem Minority Leader CO-SPONSORED the bill giving Bush authority for the wars.
And I am SURE you missed this little tidbit.
Dem's who voted FOR the wars:
Baucus (D-MT)
Bayh (D-IN) Biden (D-DE)Current VP
Breaux (D-LA)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Carnahan (D-MO)
Carper (D-DE)
Cleland (D-GA) Clinton (D-NY)Past Sec of State (Labeled Smartest women in the world by many lefties) Daschle (D-SD)Leader of the Senate at the time and co-sponsored the bill Dodd (D-CT)
Dorgan (D-ND) Edwards (D-NC) Ran for VP
Feinstein (D-CA)
Harkin (D-IA)

Kohl (D-WI)
Landrieu (D-LA) Lieberman (D-CT)Ran for Pres.

Reid (D-NV) Current leader of the Senate
Rockefeller (D-WV) Schumer (D-NY)
Torricelli (D-NJ)
I'd be willing to bet that you supported many of these and voted for some. Biden twice.
This is why reading the actual law matters. The law itself gives the president the ability to give exemptions.
The most any of you Republicans could argue is that the President cant broadly give a year long exemption to all companies meeting the 50/100 employee threshold, he has to go case by case.
What if just before losing power in 2016, the Democrats enact a law taxing incomes between $200,000 -$500,000 at 50%, and incomes above $500,000 at 75%, effective January 1st, 2017.
Upon taking office, the new Republican president and vice president, the Koch brothers, announce that they will delay implementation of the new tax for two years, until 2019, because “they’re friends of ours, and besides, they’ve promised they’ll use the extra money to spew carbon into our atmosphere and ruin the world".
What say you, dsjj? Do President and Vice President Koch have the power to do this? If not, why not?
Whether Obama believes as Nixon did...The Congress questioned Nixon's actions, the 113th Congress has that same ability.
Obama's actions are out in the open for all to see and scrutinize. Ted Cruz has already labled obama's actions as "lawlessness". What is he and the Congress waiting for?
Crap or get of the 'Lawlessness" pot.
I completely agree with you here. Not doing anything in the hope that you can make hay come.November is no better.

You should read your OWN post and see how utterly ridiculous you sound.
Obama, the tyrant in the Oval Office. What else can he do by decree. We have to ask.
Once again, Obama steps over the line, acting in typical fashion, as the Supreme Leader, who is himself the law. A new delay, by fiat, bypassing Congressional authority, and all for political purposes, as the 2014 mid-terms draw near. He hopes to provide some protection of Democrat Senate seats.
The article says the president was 'joking' that he has the power to do whatever he wants, but when it comes to our laws, he is doing whatever he wants.

Well, at least he's honest. Yes, and "anything" includes killing whomever he chooses with a drone.
Huh? The White House under HIS discretion are announcing the changes.
And the (R)'s could stop him in his tracks if they really wanted to. The Dems at least threatened Bush with it before he relented and backed down.
