Obama himself shutdown Hope and Change. Are you gullible enough to think he really meant it?

-Obama backed out of public campaign financing

-Obama broke his 5 day rule on his very first bill and on most of them showing he never intended to do it

-Obama promised to reduce earmarks back to 1994 levels by veto if necessary he had his own party controlling both houses and earmarks INCREASED

-Obama lied about his own mother's death for political points on the campaign trail

-Obama chose to put lobbyists in positions of power after promising not to and blasting Bush for it

-Obama chose to give special access to donors/bundlers and chose to give unqualified ones ambassador positions after promising not to and accusing Bush of being bad for doing it

-Obama promised to reduce no bid contracts and end no bid contracts under 25K...they are up

-Obama promised to go through the budget line by line and cut waste

-Obama promised a more transparent government, yet he lied and blamed Fast and Furious on Bush and then used executive privilege to shut down investigations into it

-Obama ran conflicting ads on coal in the primaries

-Hope and Change opposed the Patriot Act

etc...

Sorry Raymond...... Barack Obama will not be graded on a curve..... much to your chagrin I'm sure.

Oh yeah, he's historic alright, he'll be in the college books under the chapter of "What Not To Do."

Obama promised to do away with Too Big To Fail...he legislated essentially the same thing in Systemically Important Financial Institutions.

Great research!
So you disagree with Politico's decision to query historians? Ok. Lovely. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Perhaps you can call the editors up and give them piece of your mind?? Your discontent falls on deaf ears here.

MotherJones is being deceptive. Cloture ends debate or limits it. Cloture has been used more and more when there is no filibuster or threat of it. Cloture was used on a unanimous vote.

If you don't like our Federal Republic, then there are plenty of places in the world that are bordering on a dictatorship (Kazakhstan, Russia) that might fit your ideal of a more powerful executive branch.

Presidents who enter under great adversity are usually treated well by historians. Besides, his presidency is only 60% completed. He'll be treated well, sorry.

Current Grade: B- (for relative references: Bush II, D; Clinton, B; Bush I, B-; Reagan, B+; Carter, C+; and, FDR, A-)

History might judge him to be a tad better in the long run.
