Blacks commit more crimes proportionally than whites.
Want to change the perception of the people in the video? Tell the black community to stop committing so many crimes. Perhaps when and if this occurs, public perception would change.
This involves responsibility; a foreign concept to American blacks.
Videos like these further validate that racism in America is structural and embedded into the fiber of its institutions, which means there is no such thing as equal justice. White privilege is alive and well, ask Michael Dunn.
What do expect when even black, pop culture, entertainers portray themselves as a, street gang members, a 'gangsta' or a thug?

If one was swimming and saw a carp, vs a great white shark, approaching you, which one would worry you most?
And you can sit and whine how much a 'victim' you are, but instead of blaming the "white" man, perhaps you should blame your own community. It is no shocker to anyone to see and read in the news about black criminals. Like it or not, they commit a lot of the violent crimes that happen in this country. Until that changes, peoples perception and reactions will not change. You cant pin this one on anyone but the black community.
So instead of wallowing in your own self pity, why not continue or start trying to change things in the black community?

Better to blame imaginary racissisms.
That word is key there. Ive worked with and met a lot of black individuals that are actually from other countries, unlike the ones that go around touting how they are African American. And they mostly seem to be completely different than American born blacks, in a good way. They largely dont have this sense of victimhood or entitlement.
"African Americans" sure could learn a few things from other people of color who come here from other countries, and not just black people, but other races as well.
The reason the cop reacted the way he did, is because he deals with ghetto young black males all day long, who usually carry guns. Being that young black males commit a disproportionate amount of crime(whatever the reason) The reaction to the black male is natural for the cop, even a black cop! This video does not prove anything other than there is a problem with young black males to some degree and the cops have no way of knowing the difference. I would have like to have seen the rest of the video where the black guy proves ownership of the car and the cop apologizes.
So what if that police officer deals with "ghetto Blacks"? So what? It cannot be refuted that the White guy in this video was committing a crime too. The law is suppose to apply to EVERYONE. You know the saying "if you do the crime, you do the time". If a White guy is breaking into a car, shouldn't he do the time too? Can you refute that a law was broken? Forget statistics, just look at THIS situation. Pay attention to the ACTION.
And can you refute that the officer's reaction goes against what justice should be? I'm not talking about the reaction to the Black guy. I'm talking about the relative lack of reaction to the White guy committing that crime. Can you argue that it goes against how a justice system should work? Can you argue that if a White guy commits a crime, he does just as much damage as if a Black guy did the same thing?

You have not refuted the fact that the White guy trying to break into the car is just as destructive to society as if a Black person did the exact same thing. The statistics does not change that. If you cannot refute that, then this is merely about bias.
And by the way, there have been Black people who have said "stop committing crimes". Guess what? The very Black persons who keep committing crimes do not listen, because like criminals of any other ethnicity, they don't care about anyone, not even themselves.
And the "fish" argument does not hold any water. If both a Black person and a White person commit a crime, wouldn't both of their actions cause a problem for society?
