Not to worry - Obama announced today that their will be NO military "aggression" and that he will pursue diplomacy. He plans on working on "commitments" from NATO allies at the Summit in Wales .... which is in late September. I've never seen such an out of touch, out of control Administration. They are clueless and will address Russian encroachments in September.

Buckle your seat belts.

This means that Barack will do some "community organizing" while Putin bangs Kerry in the butt.

You guys just can't help yourselves. You gotta take cheap shots at the president for any reason and no reason at all. "He's doing too much"......"he's not doing enough".........meanwhile you don't have the slightest clue what exactly is going on diplomatically, militarily and politically, concerning the situation. In fact none of you could give a tinker's damm about Ukraine or Crimea. You're only concerned how you can spin the situation against the president.

Taking Crimea is one thing. Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania are part of NATO. Attack one and you have instant war with 70% of Europe all over your ass. Attack one and you attack all. US and Obama have nothing to do with it. Europe will act with or without Obama and the US.

If I were the leader of Latvia, Estonia, or Lithuania I would be seriously concerned about those NATO treaty's I signed, Especially during March madness.

The entire of Europe's military would last little longer than the French Army in WW2.
Not that they would even try, Europe is like meth addicts to Putin's GazProm.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but NATO is the USA - We lead or it doesn't happen. I know what Biden said today, our NATO allies didn't believe it (and said so) and I don't believe it. We saw what happened with the Syria "Red Line" - the world saw that and they took note of it. A little history lesson on NATO and the Russian War with NATO might be in order about now. IF Putin can destroy it, he will do so.

Nobody wants WAR, but we have never had a President that made it clear that no matter what anyone does ..... the US is going to ***-*** and any Military actions are "off the table". He said that again today. What is NATO supposed to do after a statement like that?

The Price of Failed Leadership

"Able leaders anticipate events, prepare for them, and act in time to shape them. My career in business and politics has exposed me to scores of people in leadership positions, only a few of whom actually have these qualities. Some simply cannot envision the future and are thus unpleasantly surprised when it arrives. Some simply hope for the best. Others succumb to analysis paralysis, weighing trends and forecasts and choices beyond the time of opportunity."

Lack of vision
Analysis paralysis

In the case of Ukraine and Crimea - the handwriting was on the wall in late November but Obama and the O-Team were in a frenzy spinning the ObamaCare Debacle ... and then there was the Christmas Break and Vacations .... followed by the New Budget Agreement between Murray & Ryan and more ObamaCare spin. Nobody was minding the store -- they "hoped" it would all just go away.

And now, here we are. Russia and Ukraine are just one Crisis Pot on the Stove. We have Lebanon, Argentina and Venezuela that are about to boil over, while the mess in Egypt and Libya get worse by the day. I 'hope' somebody is paying attention to Japan. "Lack of Vision and Analysis Paralysis".

Its none of our business and there isn't any need for diplomacy or any other action for that matter.

I don't doubt that, but Alaska is closer AND they have lots and lots of lovely OIL that Obama won't allow them to drill. In this case, maybe Russia will decide that they get to count the Russians .... and protect them.
