And Japanese. Did I mention we hung them for doing it? Yes, it was considered that serious.

Why you insist on bringing US down to the level of Russia, China and North Korea is beyond me.

Japanese were hung for far serious crimes than just water boarding. Many died in their concentration camps of starvation, hard labor and lack of medical care.

How many Al Qaeda prisoners have died in our custody?

liberals are funny, mixing apples and oranges to make their case.

you better read how the Japanese treated their prisoners in WW 2 in the Pacific and comeback here.

how many Al Qaeda prisoners have died in our custody since 9/11?

how many prisoners died under the Japanese Empire during WW 2?

yeah keep grasping at straws and making outrages comparison to make a big drama about nothing!

In many cases the charge was waterboarding. That alone qualified them for the death penalty.

PS it is not a left vs right issue, it is simply right vs wrong. Your promotion of torture doesn't make you left or right, it just makes you morally wrong.

morally wrong?????? this is the same government that killed the natives to steal their land. This is the same government that destroyed its own country and many civilians to win a civil war. This is the same government that bombed the cr@p out of Germany, Japan and Vietnam to win a war. This is a government that nuke 2 cities full of civilians to win a war. This is from a government that today uses the drone programs to kill anybody the president wants at will and no court including American Citizens.

and you want to complain about "morals" about water boarding to get intel out of Al Qaeda leaders and save American lives? BAHAAAAAA!!!!!!

whatever dude!

Historical facts are not straws, they are facts. I am sorry if you find them inconvenient.

Comparing waterboarding to waterboarding is comparing apples to apples.

You say it is nothing, but your view is the opposite of the view of the United States who considers it a war crime, and hung people for waterboarding. Like you pointed out, your views are in line with Russia, China and North Korea. You said it, not me.

" ... following World War II war crime trials were convened. The Japanese were tried and convicted and hung for war crimes committed against American POWs. Among those charges for which they were convicted was waterboarding."
— John McCain on Thursday, November 29th, 2007 in a campaign event in St. Petersburg

McCain is referencing the Tokyo Trials, officially known as the International Military Tribunal for the Far East. After World War II, an international coalition convened to prosecute Japanese soldiers charged with torture. At the top of the list of techniques was water-based interrogation, known variously then as "water cure," "water torture" and "waterboarding," according to the charging documents. It simulates drowning.

Yes, morally corrupt and 100% wrong. That's the US stance on it. US considered waterboarding a war crime, and hung people for it.

You, the Russians, Chinese and North Koreans say it's nothing.

Blaming US for all the things you listed above does not make your argument stronger, it makes is weaker.
