It would be bad news for me ... because I only live 150 miles from DC and the possibility of nuclear radiation and fallout is a real concern. Like many thousands of others I would probably jump in my car and head to mountains in northern PA or further up to NY's Catskill or Adirondacks - or perhaps west to Pittsburgh and the Alleghenies. I know people who are close to me in all three of these regions so I would not be utterly alone.

I'd head to Walmart and stock up while everyone else is still in shock and watching CNN & FOX.

150 miles? i think you could stay where you were depending on the wind patterns, and what natural obstacles were between you and washington, if it was a single weapon. for nine season i worked just 80 miles from dc in shenandoah national park.

For my part I'd get as far from the cities as I could, because if DC got nuked they sure wouldn't stop there, and there's no telling which city would be next, though a good bet would be NYC. Depending on the delivery method used in the attack it might be a while before we responded to it as we might not be able to figure out who did it for a while. In any case it would not be at all pretty, and things would go downhill pretty quick from that point on.

If I was president I tell you one thing I would do. I would completely obliterate the country whatever scumbag who snuck that weapon in was from. I don't care if they are a terrorist with no ties to the government. I would turn the entire thing to glass as a warning to these countries to get their houses in order.

I rue the day anything resembling this scenario happens.

Since I live in Montana, and the prevailing winds are out of the West, I would fall on my knees, bow my head, and pray for the lives lost. THEN, I would give thanks that THEY (the professional politicians) are all gone, and we can start fresh! Maybe this time we could get it right!

You would be dead. Or you better pray that you die in the initial blast ,and not have to die a horrific death due to radiation poisoning.
