I think all homeowners should pay the same fee no matter the size, location of your home. The problem now is poor people always vote for a property tax increase because it does not affect them. Let everyone pay the same and it would be more fair.

Renters, mainly poor people, pay property taxes indirectly as a component of their rent, just as they pay (usually) water, garbage, and maintenance.

Perhaps we should consider expanding ypour proposal. All automobile owners should pay the same insurance costs, no matter what they drive.

I suggest that what you are proposing will end up hitting poor and working people the hardest.
