So you are claiming that the best universities are getting their students from red states? Seriously?

Source?

Really?

Have you seen North Dakota or Texas and their unemployment rates?

Actually, Providence is 376 years old. And it looks it!

Atlanta, which is a newbie city, has the world's busiest airport. Worst architecture, but busiest airport. Maybe if red states invested in their core infrastructures and peoples, they wouldn't be last in everything. Just thought. I mean, it costs money (taxes) to lead in the areas I've pointed out. Stop being so cheap -- invest in your people!

Ah yes, Texas. With more than 25% of its people having no form of health insurance. None.

And North Dakota? No way would I ever live there. Most feel the same way.

Their is cost and then their is value...They are not the same.

This idea that you "invest" by default you will be rewarded is a joke..You are aware that investing comes with the risk of loss of principal, right?

Infrastructure "investments" are great..just when they are few few few few strict on time and costs, and not a bottomless pit of money for labor unions which as all all know are just fundraisers for the the leftist of the Democratic party..

You want a great Infrastructure project would be.

A Border Fence on the US/Mexico Border....

In most cases we are only talking about 20-30 years, but even 100 years won't give you an advantage. Univ of Chicago is younger than Dartmouth, but is still ranked higher.

University of Mississippi: 1848
University of California: 1868
University of Texas: 1883
University of Illinois: 1867

EDIT: nvm, just saw that you were talking about the cities and not the universities.

What's the point, if after graduation they move to a Red State
