You can't get richer if you weren't rich in the first place.
LMAO...CD millionaires.
If you saved $271/mo starting at the age of 21, you would be a millionaire in retirement. Given the average person pays around $220/mo for their cable, internet and cell phone plans yes, I would think most people can afford saving an amount that small.
Please. Look at where you live and look at where I live.
If we both throw rocks in the air, the likelihood that it'll land on a rich person is a hell of a lot higher here than it is there....I'll tell you that much.
I hated Obamacare bc it costs me well into the 5 figures $ in tax increases.
But I like some stuff like no preexisting coverage exclusions or rate hikes.
But then I do not like the fact my costs have increased or this stupid pay-for-patient-satisfication b.s which is proven to kill/harm patients while driving up costs.
All in all, I dunno.
BTW, I do not believe for one second that anyone will be punished for not having insurance.

That's a totally different topic. We're not talking about life as a financial planner.
And the reality is that most people DON'T invest that same $271...so there's no need to go into that.
The issue here is folks using this thread as an opportunity to tell us how rich they are. And of course, I ain't buying it.
