It seems we wanna let everyone else in. Bring them all in and let them become citizens and live a life. We can then all get infected. Shoulda like a plan.

I'm okay with these two patients, the hospital is prepared. Others getting on planes thinking they have the flu or something - that freaks me out.

This has nothing to do with immigration and trying to make the link is simply distracting from the threat which is legal travel into the US from areas of ebola. Immigration, even from Africa is a long term issue. Ebola will be killing Americans in US cities inside of a month.

Soooo universal healthcare?

We aren't playing with fire. Seriously. The sheer hysteria about this is crazy.

Way too late for that. The whole thing will be over and millions will be dead in 18 months. Modern society (and health insurance) will be gone.

Wait...this is like the Republican healthplan:
Don't get sick, and if you do get sick, die quick

Except this is:
Don't get sick, and if you do get sick, don't come home, die over there.

Im just in awe about the ignorance and fear mongering going on. folks here are crazy.

They should have set up a facility on Plum Island and brought the patients there. If something goes wrong at least it can be contained.

And there going to a hospital in Atlanta , why not Washington , surely the best hospitals are near the White House , then the Obamas can all go visit them .

I am 100% against these two coming back to the States. This is a terrible idea. 8% of the victims in this outbreak have been healthcare workers which includes an expert on the virus. This transmits through not only blood, stool, and vomit, but sweat, spit, and any other bodily fluid you can think of i.e. you can get it easier than you think. On top of that, the CDC is incompetent (read the link). Finally, there is a good chance they will die. Why waste our money on flying them back to the States...if they want to use these people as guinea pigs, fly the doctors and equipment to Africa.

I think they are bringing them here because they suspect there is more to this virus than they want to tell us - like it has mutated to a more easily passed form. That would explain why so many health workers have become infected in spite of taking the normal precautions.
