Exactly. Let the Free Market deal with Ebola. It does everything better than Government can.

The government's plan----to send resources to the affected nations to try to contain Ebola before it can no longer be controlled, to expect and prepare for possible cases of Ebola outside the affected region, to try to keep Americans and world populations calm, to study the virus and promote efforts to find treatments and potentially a cure for this disease (which could also lead to a better understanding and treatments for other similar viruses).

There needs to be SOME plan in effect to restrict travel until the outbreak is over. I don't know what the answer is, but there has to be something a lot better than what we're doing (or not doing, as the case may be) now.
Ebolists think that the spread of the disease is inevitable and that all countries should share in the illness so that Africa doesn't get a bad/worse rap.

This.

You have a disease with a 50-90% mortality.
You need to take it seriously.
A travel ban should have been in place immediately.
Containment is all you got sometimes and it should be used without prejudice.

The government's plan as far a world travel and business is "cross your fingers".
And it's most governments, not just the US.

The African governments refuse to self quarantine.
Nigeria did and that worked.

Corrupt bickering governments in those Ebola stricken nations should be dealt with.
Containers full of medical supplies has been sitting on the docks in Sierra Leone for 2 months now because the opposing political side provided it and the side in power won't touch it.

Probably. But that would not change the fact that it is still an irrational fear. Presuming that everyone who boarded had no fever, they were not infectious and cleaning the plane is not a risk. If these workers do not want to do the job, then fire them. There are others who will.

They shut down an entire ward and an entire floor, for this guy that knew he had been in very close contact.

The media wants us to fall for their story that if we halt air travel it will make matters worse. That is bologna. If they want to send aid workers, go ahead.

The new "screening" of West African travelers is one of the silliest lies. These folks wanting to leave Africa are not going to be honest on a questionnaire and if they have just started running a slight fever, pop some ibuprofen before the trip and they will pass with flying colors.

What else doesn't add up to you?

The job of the CDC is to lie to the people, so it does not cause a panic. Period.

We are not being told anything, so the panic doesn't spread....

Look at the airport workers on strike over it. Panic is starting to gain ground.
