hmmm, Chicago, TX, DC, shootings, murders, so people are more interested in who can claim the prize than the issue of the criminals and deaths. Ok.. got it.
We should be talking about why the Feds have been militarizing LP's since 2003, even in the face of lower crime rates...
Congress insists on spending money we do not have on stuff the US military does not need or want because Congress is elected to bring home the bacon and unless the government continues to deficit spend, the manufacturers of military equipment will have to lay off people and/or close their doors. It's a segment of the economy that has been dependent upon deficit spending, since forever.
It's no different than foreign military aid that funds the purchase of military equipment, made in the USA.
No Police involved in the Chicago shootings.
No riots in Chicago.
No vandalism attributed to these shootings.
No looting attributed to these shootings.
All shootings occurred in gang infested neighborhoods. Likely some who were shot were affiliated with gangs. Others were likely in the wrong place at the wrong time.
And yet, except for grieving family and friends, a protest or two by some local religious person--nothing.
St. Louis has held the distinction of the murder capital of the US, on again off again for quite some time. Despite this, no rioting, looting or vandalism.
Is there something about this particular shooting in the greater St Louis area that makes it a tad different than all the other murders in the area?
The OP is very easy to explain. The reason Obama sent Eric Holder to Missouri is because that's where the cameras are. Both Obama and Holder are publicity whores just as are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
The majority of murders, in Chicago, is black on black crime and gang related. There have been street gangs in the US since the 1700's, 250 +/- years.
Mitigating gang activity anywhere, is a game of whack-a- mole, not too different than global terrorism.
That may be true, but does not excuse murder in any way shape or form, just because it is black on black.
Maybe that is a problem, no one seems to give a damn if it is black on black.
