And? These are not contradictory facts.

Do you realize how many managers and owners of fast food there are?

Can you give me some examples of these "highly skilled jobs" that pay $12-15/ hr?

I know nurses make much more, so do computer programmers, airline pilots, licensed electricians and physical therapists. What "highly skilled" jobs did you have in mind?

Reading is your friend. Managers and owners are excluded from the survey. Thanks for playing!

I am afraid that reading and comprehension are not on his friend list. Lol

First year electrical apprentices make $15 per hour to start where I live. By the time they get their journeyman's license they are making around $30 per hour, give or take.

If you knew what first year airline pilots make you'd get sick. It's often less than $12 per hour in their first year. Experience pilots make over $100K, however.

Computer, software, network support techs
Mechanics
Truck Drivers
Machine operators
carpenters

There's 5 for you. Do you need more examples? Watch Mike Rowe's Dirty Jobs for a while and understand the great majority of them fit in the "under $16/hr" category.

Exactly. And electricians are not near the top of "highly skilled" workforce.

Let's add bus drivers - even school bus drivers. Very few of them get to $16/hr.
