Just the healthcare reform alone makes Obama an over achiever. What did Bushy accomplishe? Entangled are in a war that seem to never end and cost us few thousand lives of American soldiers and effectively destabilized the region, clearing the stage for Muslim fanatics. Even if Obama didn't do anything he would still be a 100fo,d better president than GW Bush
Healthcare reform? Yeah--it was just great. My premiums more than doubled 3 months ago--and now I get a letter stating that I have to pick another provider come this next March after 14 years with the same company.

When you can't win the debate on merit go ahead and generalize... My post was very specific and directed towards legitimate strategy differences. If I'm wrong tell me this? Why wasn't healthcare part of the conservative platform prior to Democrats putting forth legislation to fix a broken system?
Why? Because you don't fix a broken system by making it worse with a government takeover of healthcare. With all of the lies that the administration made, Obamacare has harmed more Americans than it has helped. But go ahead and ignore the facts.

So are you admitting that conservatives didn't include healthcare reform in their platform because they didn't want government involved?
Than that's highly unusual for premiums to increase 3 fold... Did you inquire about the specific reasons why?
Yes, and after talking to them, it is a losing battle. The changes were implemented over time (more required items added piecemeal), and I'm sure it reached a point where they didn't want to cover certain items any longer, so.....and the older you get, the more the premiums increase. They also had the required coverage items up to this point, but apparently they decided that they didn't want to meet those any longer.
I also moved back to Texas from NM--and that had something to do with it, too, but that's been almost a year ago.
I am at the point where I will probably call my accountant to see how bad the penalty is for not having it.
Most insurance companies--by definition--are scumbags anyway.

I'm still waiting. My employees have already been informed that I may have to push them onto the exchange. I'll have to do whatever is best for my corporation.
