Other countries have banned the region of Africa with the Ebola outbreak from arriving in their country. Countries like Nigeria and Britain.
For example, Britain would deny entry to someone flying from Liberia to Belgium and then on to London....Obama welcomes people flying from Liberia to Belgium and on in to Dallas.
Only thing I am aware of is that British Air has ceased all flights between the UL and Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Can you share a link please that supports your statement.
Obama is and idiot. And so is anyone who thinks the spread of this terrible disease is "inevitable" and that we should just sit back and let it ravage humanity. The Black Plague wasn't stopped until people started burning down cities. This country won't even suspend a few flights. Man are we ever doomed!
Have you ever travelled abroad? There are these documents called passports that get stamped when you enter another country. If you hold a Liberian one, it clearly shows that.
As my username may indicate, yes. And in my experience, stamps are pretty much a 50-50 proposition. And most countries will gladly accommodate a request to not stamp the passport. To say nothing of people holding two passports, not at all uncommon among those wth close ties to several countries.
As I said, a simple solution that's completely wrong.

There are only two carriers that continue to fly and those flights are viewed as lifelines for aid workers. Reportedly, they are flying at 1/3 capacity and the passengers are rarely Liberian nationals.
Royal Air Marac and Brussel Air are not dependent on US passengers.
If there is pressure, it is more likely to come from pilots and especially flight attendants of these airlines.
The UN has it's own planes. Sort of blows that statement of lifeline. Either that or these relief workers can be air dropped out of aircraft.
All direct fights to Africa, for starters. Also any flight that indirectly from Africa. Then anyone who traveled to the ebola countries within the past 30 days.

Humanitarian relief workers are from everywhere. The UN is not operating flights for them. You may recall that it was a private religious organization that picked up the tab for the return of the 2 US Ebola infected aid workers.
The US has no control over the two non domestic carriers that continue to fly to/from the infected area.
Jesus, the stupidity continues. It doesn't matter if there are no direct flights.
You can find those who travelled from Liberia via passport stamps and the passport itself. Not to mention flight itineraries.
So - no flights being stopped? And as has been gently explained, passport stamps are worth diddly - and flight itineraries are not even official documents - even if they were to exist in printed form for all travelers.
