The medical staffing agency is also selecting screeners to work at Washington Dulles, Newark Liberty, Chicago O’Hare and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta international airports.
Think about it. Kind of hard for anyone with a Liberian passport from Monrovia to lie about not being from an infected area, upon entering the US.
His ER medical record indicated he had recently traveled in West Africa. No one in the ER connected his symptoms to Ebola.
No way to know if he knew he had been in contact with an Ebola victim. They thought she was having a miscarriage. Denial is a primitive instinct.
It was negligence on the hospital's part. Not the same thing as willful malicious misconduct. The 1400 pages of medical records show they threw everything and the kitchen sick at Ebola and lost.
The tragic experience will allow for a substantially better global medical response to Ebola.
The nurse (who the weasel of a doctor blamed on NPR) in the ER asked the patient about travel to Liberia, he said yes, she noted it in her chart, but the doctor did not read the chart. I read one source (can't remember what now) that said the doc thought the pt. was a member of the Dallas Liberian community.

That pregnant girl was misdiagnosed as having malaria.
Duncan didn't tell the truth. Don't forget that Duncan was here on a tourist visa and had no intentions of going back home. Fear of deportation back to Liberia was probably topmost in his mind.
This is a person who lived in a third world country full of mistrust of their government and medical staff as well.

You are referring to the first time he went to the hospital.
I was posting about the second time he went via the ambulance.
The link I provided is a story after the hospital records were released and what the doctor wrote.
While it's a Breibart link the story links to an AP story about what the doctor asked him and wrote in the medical record.

While I find not watching the news a little strange, this nurse (who may not really be an RN) is hardly unusual in not watching the news.
I thought it was very strange that a nurse would say, "I don't know anything about Ebola." THAT was the part that was the most disturbing about our conversation with her. She shouldn't have to be watching the NEWS to get her info - the company she works for should be educating her!!!
A doctor yesterday said if any Ebola fluid gets on your naked skin , neck , etc, you get Ebola. He stated the nurses should not have had any bare skin as just touching the neck with ebola on a glove would give that person ebola.. translated, one does not need an opening in the skin to contract ebola.

Agreed. There is plenty of shame to go around for headlining grabbing garbage being put out there.
