Are the Republicans getting carried away with the Israeli ass kissing in attempt to split the Jewish vote from the Democrats?

The Jewish vote significantly favors the Democrats. Personally, as a Jew, I find Netanyahu to be offensive, and a war monger. God's not going to take my Jew card for saying so. I know many, many Jews who agree with me-- because above a commitment to Israel, Jews have a commitment to social justice for all peoples. I support the negotiations with Iran, because the alternative is war. I don't support continuing to build settlements in the disputed territories, because it's provocation and prolongs the existing cold war... and fans the flames.

I know some of the usual nuts on here are going to proclaim me a "bad Jew" for not putting Israel first, but, I'm an American Jew-- and you're probably not.

I think this is going to back fire on the Republicans as usual. The only Jews I know who support Netanyahu in the US are either Orthodox or over 70-- The reset of us, not so much.

I think you are wrong. Are you an American first and a Jewish person second? Your post is confusing.

No; eastern Europe also does not believe Obama will be reliable to safe guard them from Russia any more than Ukraine . if things explode in the middle east it will be Obama relationship that could end in disaster. one has to remember Israel should by and took rocket attacks in the gulf war. Certainly his debate on risk with Romney as to Russia shows he was not ready to be leader of the free world. Hillary and Bin made just that point about red telephone line late at night and his being challenged also.

The war you regard as alternative is war with the alternative Iran as we know it today. Die, learn to distance swim, or get a clue.

...oh, wait. You're in the U.S., you're safe. For a while.

Brave? I'd say more likely secure in the knowledge Iran presents no threat to the US, Bibi's 20 years of crying WOLF! not withstanding.

Are you implying that would be a bad thing?

I am really tired of the Israeli dog wagging the American tail. We need to stop supporting any of these people and let them figure out what to do with their own fanatics. That is not, and never has been, our fight and it is past time to leave.
