It just goes to prove you can't dish soup up with a Spatula. It's no way to feed the hungry unless your flipping burgers. That's backyard politics 101. No college degree required.

I constantly hear people complaining that people that don't know anything about economy, democracy, etc. are voting and messing up the country.

What do you think of passing a law that says that only people with college degrees can vote
Would that make us a better country?
Whether or not a person has a degree has nothing to do with how intelligent they are.

Case in point: this thread.

Romney won even 18-24 yo whites.

Some actual stats (scroll down to "Education" for relevant data):

Leaning liberal/dem =/= radical and/or politically engaged left, as per the stereotype. I know you weren't arguing that, but that's what I was trying to say.

No. People who pay taxes deserve to vote.

People should be able to pass a test on basic civics. This information is taught for free in the public schools as well as private and church schools. It merely requires that they understand how our government is set up. I would NOT recommend they be tested on current events or issues as these could be biased.

From a question such as this, it is easy to see that you would support a poll tax or at least a desire to limits the rights of those you consider inferior.

How compassionate of you and how favoring of equal rights.

you state in your poll, "for the good of the country".

how about instead of college degrees, the only people who can vote are property owners? they are the only ones really paying the entire property tax, and any issues would directly impact them.

If you want to ensure the most tyrannical form of welfare state, big brother socialist tyranny imaginable, sure. Why do I say that? Because our colleges and universities, minus the occasional private religious college, are by and large the epicenter of the whacked out liberal universe. If it wasn't for the supposedly "dumb" people in the blue collar and entrepreneurial world offsetting that foolishness, we'd already all be slaves to some version of a Politburo headquartered in the Ivy League.
