They work for us (well in theory anyway)and if we want them to wear cameras, then so be it.

I grew up admiring police officers, hell, my father was one. No, as an adult, I shouldn't feel tense or on edge because there is a cop eyeing folks down.

I know it's "only a few bad apples", but with everyone having cell phone cameras, the amount of corruption being exposed, it make on wonder, is it just a few bad apples, or the most protected gang in the U.S.A.?

Again, cameras would squash this all. Sure there will be "malfunctions", but by having public servants wear something that would document encounters with the "ohh so dangerous citizen", it can't hurt to cover all bases.
Nope just don't like big government, dumb requirements, stupid laws, regulations that do no good. Can't speak for the other two.

Then you should have no problem ending the war on drugs (cannabis especially), and the Patriot Act along with all of the agencies associated with it. Right?

Not really, you people don't understand these pointless laws/regulationd don't work on those who are criminals. Bad cop with a camera will simply put a jacket over his camera and cover the mic when he wants to do something bad.... so don't push your big government crap on all of us please.

Make it a CHOICE... want to wear a camera, wear a cameras... but we wont force you to wear a camera.

Sounds much nicer than. "PUT THIS CAMERA ON AND SHUT UP!!! DONT LIKE IT? QUIT YOUR JOB!!"

The only cop that should have to wear a body camera is one that has PREVIOUSLY been investigated for abuse. You don't treat the entire force like criminals. Make it part of their probation if found guilty by internal affairs. The tapes can be used for training and critique.

Right, so let's wait til after someone dies or after someone is wrongfully abused. Good thinking!
