And when courts overrule gay marriage bans, they say its unconstitutional. Then people scream "liberal judges"
Same difference. Some only seem to like it when it agrees with their view.
Like I said, I'm for concealed carry, I think its silly people in california can't. But its not my state, and the right to bear arms never said "under your shirt" hence the bear part
Where is there anything in the Constitution about marriage? Marriage is not a "right" under the Constitution. Therefore, banning of so-called "gay marriage" is not unconstitutional.
I'm for states rights, shouldn't it be up to the people of the state to decide? Isn't that the argument on abortion?
I support concealed carry btw. I just find it odd when someone cheers a decision like this, but if a court overturns gay marriage bans or abortion bans, suddenly the court is to liberal.
States rights only goes as far as the Constitution allows. And there is a growing body of court decisions, such recent decisions in Illinois, that concealed carry cannot be denied.

Abortion and marriage aren't specified in the constitution or the bill of rights. If our founding fathers knew homosexuals wanted to act married and mothers wanted to kill their children in 2014 then maybe they would have addressed it.

Many rights are not specifically called out in the Constitution. But for some time marriage has been ruled a right. So under the 14th Amendment, which provides "equal protection under the law" it appears that we are headed towards rulings that do not allow states to deny marriage to same sex couples.

Neither is concealed or loaded guns. You can carry bullets and your gun openly from my understanding, the two can't be put together. Now, as I said, I think this is silly, but my point remains

We'll see how the courts decide. I think not allowing concealed or open carry is silly. I'm not a federal judge though

Hopefully this will be the first step in changing the other MAY carry states to SHALL carry.
