The number one enemy of a bad cop needs to be a good cop. One with the courage to protect the public he/she promised to serve.
Agreed and just like the Catholic Church the bad cops will go down badly.Under cover the police whom have bad stories themselves whom were protected in the past like the pervy priest.Investicate their arrest of each incidents. It's more than color discrimination its a battle of power. It absolutely sickens me that incidents like this are brushed aside. And let's not just blame the bad cops but also the court system. The cigarette company and their taxes, like they don't makes enough money. They have to go after the black market too? It's repeating the Moonshiners who did the same and they were beating too.

A new movement is happening we saw with our own eyes brutality that was' nt necessary. An arrest, jail time, fine should of just been giving.

Honestly what the heck?!!!!

There are two sides to a trial. Do you not think that it might have been different if there had been a lawyer there representing the deceased?

Usually when they are dealing with a person of any weight and height class who being uncontrollable & refuses to settle down. One of them pull out the Taser then the person settle down, being controlled, and get arrested.

You can be detained for questioning for investigation of a crime, even if you are not a suspect, but for the possibility of being a witness. Or if the cop wants to make up some bogus crap to hold you.

a crime is a crime, period!!~!!! and when you people realize that, life for you all will be a whole lot easier....
You don't see upstanding citizens getting in trouble with the law....this guy was arrested 30 other times....
If I were arrested even once, I'd loose my job....loose respect from so many people....doesn't matter what the crime would be, I'd then be a criminal, and so it should be....

making excuses....how bout all the cops that have been killed by blacks...? Huh? What about that?

This is pathetic, that you and others think it's A-ok to commit a crime and get away with it....Eric was a criminal....he wouldn't allow the police to arrest him, doesn't matter why they were arresting him, he was BREAKING A LAW! PERIOD. Eric bought this on himself.....

Usually, huh, and how do you know that, how do you know police procedures....like I said once before, b/c this Eric had a health problem, a taser might have killed him also.....

your always making excuses, always searching for another way it could be done....whataya think, when a cop faces a criminal he stands there and goes....."hummmmm, now how am I going to handle this"
You people are the perfect example of a huge lack of intelligence....

if you or anyone else here would stay out of trouble, to begin with and follow the laws, like most Americans do, you wouldn't have problems like this....
Police Brutality...my butt.....
this is nothing but a complete war on law enforcement, b/c you simply believe it's ok to break laws....and do what you please....

I wish these police leaders would grow a set, and tell people, ok, from now on, you start any trouble, you riot, your going to be shot on sight of turning over a police car, breaking store front windows and entering into stores and looting....stealing, selling drugs and what ever ya'll do. It's freakin illegal! What gives you the right to break laws!!!!!

That would be justice!!!!!!!!

There's a prosecutor and a defense at a trial. At a grand jury there's only a prosecutor, unless the accused is a cop. Then, the DA is all too often the defense more than a prosecutor.

I think excessive force was used although it probably wasn't the cause of Eric Gardner's death. Certainly he was just as responsible for his own death the way he behaved and with his physical condition. The fat idiot should have just manned up and let them take him into custody and be charged with the misdemeanor. Instead he got into a wrestling match which resulted in him being over exerted and having his own weight asphyxiate him. But the choke hold, while not the cause of his death, should not have been used. Had he been 80 years old and been 95 pounds the cops also should not have wrestled him like that. You mace him in the eyes, taser him( although that might still have put him in danger with his medical conditions) or if it comes to it, use a baton to hit him in the legs or on the arms.
The haters will ruin the case by trying to make it into a black/white issue and not a police state one.
Its in NYC so they'll keep it under control, both sides. Anyplace else, and it probably would be more trouble.
