Don't the town officials have to call for this? They pretty much claim the "killer" will not be caught. Weird statement and the fire chief is strange to say the least. Lot of young men running the town.

I did notice even in the Mississippi forum, no one has brought this up in a thread. Maybe, the whole state is a sitting time bomb.

The Feds did send in agents 50 years ago during the Civil Rights time for the 1st "Mississippi Burning".

IMHO most of Ms is probably Ok to be fair.

Or, the feds already have someone on the inside and don't want someone to jeopardize the wider net investigation unrelated to her murder.

That I believe. The feds have been investigating this murder for the past few weeks.

The FBI does what the CIA tells it to do.

One of the links stated that the DOJ-CRS is involved which means the local officials and MBI have specific guidelines regarding all media contact. Could have a lot to do with why this story is essentially shut down.

I live about an hour away from where this happened so it's been a big story in the news from the day it happened. I'm pretty certain they brought the FBI in about a week or two after the murder. After that, pretty much all news about the murder ceased to exist. Which, quite honestly, is probably what you want. They interviewed the redneck police chief several times on the news and it was pretty clear the investigation was better off going quiet.

Thanks for this info If one goes to most the comments that are posted after any information released on Chambers, people seem to indicate this town is under gang control. Also, many comments about the officials and gangs being connected. Sad to say even some have said the father had a checkered past, who knows. Jessica wanted to write a book and sounds like maybe, someone didn't want her to.

This case has even got the group Anonymous working to find people the FBI hasn't been able to. The video the clerk turned over was not the original copy. Unless ,the FBI took the tape before the store clerk destroyed it, who knows what information was on the tape.

I hope they got it, but it took a reporter to point out the fact the tapes given were not original. At one point listening to the tapes you can hear clicking and they said the sound is someone editing the tape, clicking past the footage. This seems unprofessional, to not get the original tape to begin with.
